Hi All,
I am facing an issue while receiving HTTP request in my message flow.
The scenario is as follows.
I had deployed my msg flow with the URL Selector property of my HTTPInput node (which is my first node of the flow) being
http://localhost:1470/ACTIVATION
I am sending my request using CURL utility and to the following address
http://localhost:7080/ACTIVATION
As you can see the port are different in both the locations, still the message flow was able to receive the message.
I did not understand HOW ????
Secondly, when I am changing the port number in the HTTPInput node to 7080 and deploying it. The flow is unable to receive the request and my CURL utility display a msg saying
<SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xm
lns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org
/2001/XMLSchema">
<SOAP-ENV:Body>
<SOAP-ENV:Fault>
<faultcode>SOAP-ENV:Server</faultcode>
<faultstring>A timeout occurred during processing</faultstring>
<faultactor>/ACTIVATION</faultactor>
<detail><text>Timeout. Broker BRKRAT did not provide a response within the speci
fied time interval (180 seconds)</text></detail>
</SOAP-ENV:Fault>
</SOAP-ENV:Body>
</SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
The above mentioned error normally occurs when the flow is stopped and the request is sent to the broker.
Also, I removed the message flow from my broker and sent the http request still it gives me the above response. But I expected the response to be something as below.
<html><head><title>WebSphere Message Brokers error report</title></head>
<body><h1>HTTP Status 404 - Resource Not Found</h1>
URI /ACTIVATION does not map to any message flow in broker BRKRAT<p>
<h3>WebSphere Event Broker 6003</h3></body></html>
The above mentioned response is received when a http request is sent to the broker, but the broker is unable to map the request to any of the flows.
Hope you got the scenario.
My broker is running on AIX 5.3 and broker version is 6.0.0.3.
Can anyone help me out to understand this scenario?
and let me know what wrong am i doing
Thanks,
Pats ... |

HI , Did you check the Port on which your brokers http server is listening on , I think 7080 is the port on which the http server is listneing for incoming messages , and its not the port which you specify in your URL. |

7080 is by default.

You use the mqsichangeproperties command to make the changes to the port number. |
