Dear MQ Fellas !
I am facing a very peculiar problem while trying to connect my client with MQ6 Server.
The platform is Windows XP.
The Queue Manager and listener are running on the correct port.
The error I am getting is the common 2059.
The Server is on the same machine as the client.
I have tried using Channel tab with client connection server and corresponding server connection channel with same name in my Queue Manager.
I have tried using MQSERVER environment variable.
Still the error 2059 is coming constantly.
The Windows firewall as well as other firewall on the system is disabled.
The error code from the client error file is given below:
18/03/2008 11:20:10 - Process(2640.1) User(administrator) Program(amqsputc.exe) AMQ9202: Remote host 'xxx.xxx.xx.xx (1414)' not available, retry later.
EXPLANATION:
The attempt to allocate a conversation using TCP/IP to host 'xxx.xxx.xx.xx (1414)' was not successful. However the error may be a transitory one and it may be possible to successfully allocate a TCP/IP conversation later.
ACTION:
Try the connection again later. If the failure persists, record the error
values and contact your systems administrator. The return code from TCP/IP is 10061 (X'274D'). The reason for the failure may be that this host cannot reach the destination host. It may also be possible that the listening program at host 'xxx.xxx.xx.xx (1414)' was not running. If this is the case, perform the relevant operations to start the TCP/IP listening program, and try again.
I have tried using telnet and its responding fine.
On the same system, the server program amqsput is working fine but amqsputc is giving trouble.
I have tried to use amqscnxc.exe with the Server Connection Channel name and Queue Manager name as parameters. Still the same result.
The Regional Settings and Language settings for the host is UK and Queue Manager CCSID is 437.
I have already spend one day reading all 2059 posts in this forum, but could not find any help.
Thanks a lot in anticipation ! |

Try telnet not just to the target machine, but to the 1414 port - I bet you get a connection refused error. You might think the firewall is down, but it's not! [/quote] _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Another common error that might get you the same result is running the MQ listener under a userid that is not part of the mqm group and has no authority defined on the qmgr and queues.
