Hi, i hope that it's rigth forum about my problem.

I'm setting an XA configuration on Websphere MQ to DB2 v8.2

I followed the following steps:

1) In XA Resouce Manager of the Queue Manager i inserted following values:

SwitchFile: jdbcdb2.dll
XAOpenString: db=PROVA,uid=db2admin,pwd=db2admin,toc=p,tpm=mq
XACloseString: "blank"
ThreadOfControl: "blank"

2) I downloaded a java program from IBM site to try the connection.

When i lunch the java application i get this error

"The Procedure entry point sqloDelAllQueues2 could not be located in the dynamioc link library DB2SYS.dll"

Any idea?

Thanks a lot

Is the qmgr started under an environment that includes all the necessary DB2 path/libpath etc. stuff?

Because remember that under XA, the qmgr establishes a connection to the database on it's own.

Not your classpath.

The queue manager needs to have all necessary environment variables set up, when it's started, to establish a connection to DB2 all on it's own.

And the error you're reporting, by the way, is not a classpath issue. The queue manager doesn't use Java at all, and so CLASSPATH is completely irrelevant. This is a PATH or LIBPATH issue... or another environment variable issue.

Or maybe you don't have a full db2 client installed, that the queue manager can use.
