We are attempting to put (and ultimately get) large emssages from an MQClient to an AIX or NT MQ Server.
We are issuing the MQPUT with MQMF_SEGMENTATION_ALLOWED and MQPMO_LOGICAL_ORDER to a queue that has a MaxMsgLength less than the length of the message that we are putting.
We are getting MQRC_UNEXPECTED_ERROR (2195) on the mqput. When our message is less than the MaxMSgLength for the queue it all works fine.
We are using MQCHLLIB/MQCHLTAB environment variables for the client connection and channels/queue mgrs have MaxMsgLength = 100Mb.
Question(s) are hence
- Is segmentation supposed to work over the client channels
- If yes, are there any other particular options/parameters that need to be set on the MQPUT
- Will the same apply for MQGET (from a client)[/list]
- If yes will it continue to work if MaxMsgLength on queue = 100Mb and message length > 100Mb
