My Message flow is as below
HTTPInput>>Compute1>>MQOutput(q1)>>Compute2>>(q2)MQGet>>Compute3>>HTTPReply
1. I have checked Generate new message Id while I put the message in q1
2. There is an external MQ application that takes input from q1 and puts data on q2
3. In compute2 node I use the written destination>>> msgID to populate MQMD folder in the localenvironment for use by the MQGet Request property.
4. In the MQGet node Request property, I checked get by msg ID
5. The MQGet is not picking up the message from q2 based on the supplied msgid.
Also I set the wait interval to 0 (I assume that means wait indefinitely for the message to arrive)
I have referred to the documentation and posts but still unable to find a solution
Please can you help?
Thanks in advance |

You have the wrong transactionality on your MQOutput node. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Hi,
I meant New Message ID in the advanced option for MQOutput Node. Is that what you are referring to "Transactionality"? |

Which means that the message is not committed until the transaction is complete, regardless. I think you need "no" in order that the message is available to the external application.
Also, the normal pattern, is that the external application takes the MessageID, and copies it to the CorrelationID, which is where you would "match", not MessageID, as that application should generate a new MessageID.

So that would mean either generating a new correlid on the output node and passing that to the correlid on the MQMD with get by correlid,
or making sure the correlid is MQCI_NONE/MQMI_NONE and passing the messageid to the correlid on the MQMD and doing a get by correlid.
Of course your server app might work differently. A good way to find out is to debug and check exactly (with rfhutil?) what values were sent and what values were returned.
Also make sure that transaction mode is set to NO on the MQOutput node...
