Hi,
We want to move the file system of a queue manager from an old shared storage to a new shared storage.
The current shared storage is called mqhub_01. The new one is mounted and it's called mqhub_01_new.
What I want to do is shut down the queue manager mqhub_01, copy the files from mqhub_01 to mqhub_01_new, remove mqhub_01, and rename mqhub_01_new to mqhub_01, then start up the queue manager mqhub_01.
I've done this in our sandbox, and it works.
I was wondering if there are any long term/short term side affect or caveats we should look out for or take into consideration before doing this. Would this be an issue it the queue manager was a broker queue manager etc.?
Thanks for your insights. _________________ MQ 6.0.2.3

I'm confused as to why you're bothering with mqhub_01_new... _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

mqhub_01_new has more storage than our current mqhub_01 file system. _________________ MQ 6.0.2.3

Oh, I see.
I thought it was an additional queue manager.
As long as your qmgr is shut down, and you don't manage to mangle file permissions during the copy, you should be fine. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
