I believe this statement most accurately summarizes your issue here.

You need basic MQ knowledge, available through training (www.ibm.com/training) and/or MQ manuals and redbooks, and some real hands-on experience.

You cannot reasonably reach any conclusion when you don't know for certain if messages were created, if they traversed a message channel or if they arrived (or didn't) at the destination queue.
