whats difference between Listener confiuration between MQ 5.3 and MQ 6.0 in unix and windows environment.
Also In MQ 6.0 If we create listener as seprate object do we need to block listener port in /etc/services file in unix environment.

A more important respect (given that inetd went out with the dodo) is that under v6 listeners can be configured as queue manager objects rather than through runmqlsr.

Check the manuals.

My doubt is how SA will come to know that particular port is used my MQ if Qmgr is down. It may be possible some user define applicaiton start to use that port

/etc/services should not be used for governance.
