I'm interested in finding out if there has been any work on design patterns for using MQSeries.... i.e. accepted ways of doing certain things with MQSeries (Both in terms of designing the architecture and in terms of implementing the application code).
I'd like to start with an architecture related question. What is the benefit of using the Return To Queue concept over just having an input and output queue for System 1 to read and write to and an input and output queue for System 2 to read and write to?
I realise that MQSeries provides lots of ways to do things (and that's probably why I find IBM's official documentation online a bit overwhelming)... but does anyone have any recommendations of documentation that breaks these design decisions down a bit. For example, what are the reasons to chose to use one type of queue over another.... permanent vs temporary dynamic etc.
Thanks in advance to any responses on this subject.
