When I try to deploy a bar file onto broker WMBROK1 in the toolkit, I am receiving a success message that the deploy is successful. But actually I don't see my message flow running(ie nothing has been deployed). When I try to re-deploy the bar file, I get the BIP0874 Error stating that there is already a deployment in progress.
Also No messages were found in Log Editior.
What should be done to make the deployment successful? |

a) wait a while, and see if something changes.
b) make sure that you have not somehow filtered the Event Log view in the Toolkit, to prevent it from showing responses.
c) make sure to look at the system logs on the ConfigMgr machine.
d) make sure the ConfigMgr qmgr can talk to Broker qmgr _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I forgot to set up the connectivity between config mgr and broker. Now I did it. But whenever I deploy a bar file, my sender channel BROK1.CONF1.C1 in broker Qmgr WMBRKQM1 goes to retrying state leaving the transmit queue WMBQM1 in uncommitted status.
Every time I resolve and reset this issue, again when I deploy this uncommitted message problem occurs and nothing is deployed.
Why this occurs and
How this can be resolved? |

If the sender channel goes into retry, then you don't have it set up right. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I have the same problem as anantha, but I think it is in the software, as I have just installed a new system, with everything at the latest levels.
As anantha said: deploy a bar file onto broker, nothing is deployed, and no response comes back.
The configuration was built with the Def Config Wizard, so all components are on the one system, and there are no channels to confuse the issue.
It is behaving as though some part of the broker is not running. Eventually it does give the message: BIP2066E: Broker WBRK6_DEFAULT_BROKER ......unable to retrieve ....within 360 second configuration timeout. Execution group did not respond...
I have tried: restarting the broker, rebooting, rebuilding the configuration with the Def Config Wizard, new exe group, bar file from a working system. The system has worked, then I applied IFIX008, then manually deleted configuration (for students to run the system), then recreated the configuration, now this happens.
This is a very serious problem for me as I have a class starting at a remote location using this system fairly soon.
Thanks in advance for your help. |

No, the software works fine. I have the latest levels of everything & it's all good. Though I didn't use the wizard (I don't trust this new fangled technology & prefer to type the commands myself)
I think you'll find there are still some channels linking the componets, who don't know they're on the same box. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

My problem has been fixed. I was using CSD04 (just recently withdrawn) and had successfully tested my system. There is a bug in Message Broker CSD04, such that if the broker has no network connection, it does not start properly. Even though the broker is not using the network. I just plugged in the cable, rebooted and it worked. (Had to reboot, as the broker was it such a bad way, it would not even shut down.) |
