On one of our Wintel MQ servers I've got issues with disk space which comes down to some .trc files in D:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ internet pass-thru\errors.
I assume these are trace files of some kind. Are they related to persistance on the queues etc…?
Is there anything I can do to remove them?
basically need to know if we can make thise .trc files smaller because the disk filled.

Someone turning on tracing, as they are not created any other way.
Make sure tracing is turned off, and delete the files.

Isn't it a setting in the mqipt.config file?
Rings a vauge bell. Look it up in the MS81 documentation. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

You need to set Trace=0 in the mqipt.conf file and then either recycle MQIPT or send a REFRESH command (mqiptAdmin -refresh). |
