Hi Guys,
When I make any modifications to my flow and save the changes or deploy th eflows, the toolkit is taking somuch time in building the workspace. I need to wait until the build workspace completes.
Earlier my toolkit was faster and now its taking much time in building.
Is there anyway to improve the build workspace to complete sooner??? |

Lots of ways.
1) don't build automatically
2) use working sets
3) use a faster computer
4) use smaller workspace
5) increase jvmheap of Toolkit _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Chris
I had the same problem and it seemed to be around the User Log and Service Log within BAR files. These logs seem to get very big very quickly especially during early development phases when updating flows and redeploying.
If you split your flows into seperate BAR files, have seperate BAR files for Message Sets and remove the logs when you see your system slowing from the BAR files you are working on I'm sure you'll see an improvement.
That said if you need the logs then you're stuffed !
Let me know if that works... |

Large log files in the BAR should only slow things down when the BAR is being updated, not when the Flow is being updated.
BAR files should be treated as disposable artifacts and deleted on a regular basis. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

IFix006 to the 6.0.,2 Toolkit has updated the bar file refresh/add process so that only the last set of logs will be kept. This keeps it from growing. _________________ Bill Matthews |

I am using the toolkit Version: 6.0.2.
I dont see any logs in my workspace path:
C:\Documents and Settings\User\IBM\wmbt6.0\workspace\Servers
Could you guys tell me where exactly I can find the two log files, user log and service log?.
Thanks. |

In the BAR file editor. There are four panes at the bottom right edge of the window. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
