I have two mappings in a message flow.
First is Input application to intermediate message set and second one is from intermediate to output application.
Where wiil the use of the propagate statement will be more efficient, I/p to intermediate mapping or intermediate to o/p mapping?
Is there any efficiency difference between the two?
PROPAGATE statement propagates message to the downstream nodes.
For example, from one compute node you can send same message to multiple terminals or different messages to the different terminals. But the concept is sending message from one node to multiple nodes. And the control comes back to the sending node after it propagates to other terminals.
But your requirement seems different ! With that information it's very hard to tell you the best method !
If I were you , I will go the infocenter and try to understand the difference between propagate and mappings
