How do i go about having MQ Series on a Novell machine.? We are trying to integrate multiple platforms (AS/400, OS/390, HP-UX
including Novell) for an EAI project and have
no idea as to how it should be done. |

(My) Dumb question ... Novell is an operating system? If so, I couldn't see it listed at IBM's platform web page ... if its not listed here, I doubt there is a path to installing it on this platform.

I've lost touch with how Novell works these days - does it still run it's own operating system (basically DOS) on the Netware server?
I can't see MQSeries server working inside that environment.
However if you have a Novell envionment (IPX etc) then MQSeries will work over that protocol and you can host your MQSeries server on Windows NT.
IBM/Novell have made some announcements about Websphere/Netware servers with EJB connections to MQSeries.
MQSeries is about application integration and the file system type is not important, so I am not sure how relevant the Novell question is here? |
