Hi everybody,
I am new to MQ. I am starting listener with control command "runmqlsr" which working fine.
When i am trying with MQSC command to start listener, there is no option for Port. I red from a online book that default is 1414. But if i want to change this default port, HOW TO ??????????
I am woking on AIX, please give the name of file and path where i can cahnge default port.
and please suggest when to use controll command and when MQSC to start listener ?
and their drawbacks ????? |

Really? Page 150, Command Reference:

Looks like an option to me....
runmqlsr has a -p parameter you'll find described in the System Administration manual.
The listener became a queue manager object in v6. The command is the way it was defined in v5.3 and is retained for backwards compatability. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

i think upto mq v 5.3 listener was not considered as a object of qmgr
for that you have to use control command inorder to define and start a listener
on windows it done using amqmdain utility
but for mq v 6.0 it is considered as a object of qmgr
for this you will use mqsc command to define and start the listener
define listenr.................. will do
