Hi!

I have a lot of problems with the “Send Mail” plug-in node. I downloaded it from the IBM web page but I don’t get it to run.
This is the problem:

I installed the “lil” which sends e-mails via “sendmail” (not smtp) but when I try to do send a message, I realise that the the node is using the smtp protocol (and I need the “sendmail” protocol).
When I put a message on the Input Queue, the e-mail arrives to the e-mail server but it’s always empty. The e-mail server rejects the e-mail because it’s empty, there is no sender, no receiver…..
I have tried to install the “lil” which sends e-mails via “smtp” and I got the same results.
I tested the message that comes with the plugin download but It doesn’t run.

Another problem: I have to fill all the parameters in the node. If I don’t do this, the execution group dies.
Can anybody tell me how I have to fill the parameters? Is it possible to use the “sendmail” protocol? Can you give me a xml message to test? Can you give me a msgflow so that I can import to my workspace and see it?

Thank you very much

Goodbye

First off, "sendmail" is a program, not a protocol. You can only use this on a Unix machine, or on a windows machine that happens to have the sendmail program installed (rare machine, requires a paid license I believe).

Second off, whichever one of these you use should have nothing to do with the contents of the email that gets produced. So your problem is not which version of the node you're using - it's almost certainly your code.
