Have searched (not very well maybe) for an existing topic on this. Installing MQ5.2.1 on French languaged laptop but on completion of file loading it then rolls itself back (i.e. uninstalls), I have seen it before and did know the cause but can not remember so please someone refresh it.

Have not seen this before but do you have all the software pre-requisites?

I had similar happen to me....drove me mad! Then I belatedly realised that I had altered the date on my PC (for various reasons!) to an earlier date than the release date of the MQ I was installing and had forgotten to correct it. Is there anything in your Event Log?

jc - all software pre-reqs are in.
TonyD - PC date is current and the event log only says that the install failed - no reason given!!

Are there any files in your Temp folder...in particular one called 'setup.txt' or any amq*.txt files? If so there may be a clue there.
