I'm using dspmqtrn to display the list of in-doubt transaction on MQ. The problem is that the global transaction id (gtrid) seems to have a display error, where anytime there is a negative integer value in the gtrid byte array, dspmqtrn displays FF instead of the hex value of the negative integer byte value.
C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\bin>dspmqtrn
AMQ7056: Transaction number 0,72615.
XID: formatID 14745550, gtrid_length 12, bqual_length 12
gtrid [1BFF2B4B0000000000000001]
bqual [1BFF2B4B0000000000000007]
When I call XAResource.recover(), I get the correct value, 1BCA2B4B0000000000000001, back. This tells me that it must just be a display problem with dspmqtrn.
I'm using Websphere MQ for Windows Version 6.0.
I guess my questions are:
1. Is this a known issue?
2. Is there any other way from the MQ explorer or other command line tools to display the global transaction ID |

I tried this on Websphere MQ 5.3 (530.4) for AIX, and this problem does not exist. So apparently, it's a display bug in Websphere MQ for Windows 6.0. |
