Everyone I've worked with who's been a customer of IBM USA has always been very happy with the experience, at least by the time I've left. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Common guys, we are not talking about companies, but people! I doubt there is any company with a policy of "don't call" the applicant in case of any "contretemps".
Someone forgot something, that's all. _________________ Warm Regards,

Good to know that. Also one last thing is how the bonus and the salary raises are in IBM, i know it varies with the ind performance, group perf etc.... just for a rough idea. |

Who do U all think U are ?
Some kind of indispensible gurus that can't be done without ?
As far as IBM management is concerned, U guys are
nothing more than the last thing they scraped off the bottom
of their shoes.
U guys are nothing but a bunch of 'commodities' that can
be bought and sold on the open market. There is
nothing special about any one of U. Especially, the Indian
colleagues who are effectively working as slave labour for
large American and Western companies.
U know I don't blame the Indian colleagues.
It is not their fault. They were shafted up the poop shoot
by the British (who took everything out of the place that was
worth anything) for several hundred years.
I worked for IBM on the Corebank project in
Copenhagen about 10 years ago. This project
was a massive failure. Funny enough - it wasn't
going too badly while we had EUROPEAN MANAGERS
running the gaff. The minute they brought in their
brainless American managers and pushed aside
those EUROPEAN MANAGERS, the whole thing went
pair shaped very quickly.
Essentially, this IBM company is too big and too
impersonal and needs to be broke up into
smaller, more manageable entities. Where is
the government when U need them then ??? !!!
Fluteing around in Iraq ...
And, I do wish this world could get bloody stupid Americans
out of our face !!!

I think I'm some guy spending his spare time offering such help, advice and assistance on a software product as I can while holding down the day job. Who do you think you are?

Nope, all licensed customers have access to IBM support via the PMR system.

Actually, I sell myself.

To be fair, we did that to everyone. But we were quite nice about giving the Empire back after the war, and inventing games other people are better than us at like cricket & rugby.

Things are going out of control here...
If you guys are Americans, Europeans or Indans, doesn't matter, once we can live in respect with the differences.
No one can blame others by their nationality, color or faith. It's - usually - an option, and should be respected.
About cheap workers and Europe for Europeans first: I would say you are right.... if Europeans had not invaded and encroached other countries in the past. Now they are only giving the change back! _________________ Warm Regards,

Quite right. I let my sarcasm get the better of me again.

Again quite right. We must all line up against the true enemy - the growing army of inept management... _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Michael Dag - U can ban me if U want.
I suppose U know 'd man' in charge.
I am not afraid of U or anyone else.
But - I spoke the truth in that last post above.
What did I say that was downright wrong ?
This is a general discussion forum. Where is the debate ?
At least Vitor made some attempt to address the issues.
Let me clarify.
I should say that the first 3 paragraphs above in my post
is not my opinion of myself or anyone else actually.
But - the notion of IT people as 'commodities' to be bought
and sold on the open market is becoming more and more the
thinking of senior management (like IBM) in these large
companies. That is what I meant when I said : 'Who
do U think U are ?' and 'There is nothing special about
any one of U'.
Because this is the attitude of - 'the growing army of inept management...' - as Vitor poined out. And, very quickly,
a half decent IT guy can lose his work unnecessarily on the
back of that attitude.
I also did address the issue in hand - the unprofessional
conduct of IBM and what, in my opinion, should be done
about it. I also gave my experience of working with
them - since some people have already asked what
that experience is like.
It is correct to say that I don't have a high regard for
'Americans'. So - who does these days and what's new ???
Nevertheless, just like U, Mr. Dag, if somebody is
having a problem that I can help with, I am prepared
to help - irrespective of colour, race or creed !!!
And, I would expect the same from other people on
the forum.
Heb een aardige dag.

There is enough room for debate here, just no room for disrespect.
Show respect and you can say what you want.
General Discussion is here discuss anything you like. _________________ Michael
