Hi,
We are seeing a problem every morning between the hours of 7:30 - 09:00am where by Windows clients trying to connect to a z/OS QM fail but nothing is written to the error logs on the Windows clients. After 9am the same connections seem to connect without any problem. We are using MQ Client version 6.
z/OS was upgraded to 1.7 and thats when we think the problem started
Any help would be much appreciated |

Think scheduled jobs =>unavailable resources, maintenance interval etc...
It should have nothing to do with the upgrade as it works...
So what is different during the hours it does not?
Exclusive use of the crypto library by another (batch) process that takes forever ??

Hi,
Thanks for your reponse.
We can see that the secured channel is going through the handshake process and it sitting in a TCP receive but it gets nothing back from the z/OS side. Not sure why this happens between 7:30 - 09:00am. We have checked mainframe logs but no errors to indicate why this might be happening |
