It is possible to change default queue buffer size (which is 64 KB) by adding the entry: DefaultQBufferSize=<size> in TuningParameters stanza in qm.ini file.
This may be of use when you expect to have such a number of non-persistent messages on a queue that they are likely to exceed 64 KB, and so will be swapped to disk.
However, only queues defined after restarting queue manager will have queue buffer size you have set in qm.ini.

Is there any way to see the actual queue buffer size assigned to a queue? Perhaps one can associate MQM processes with allocated shared memory segments?
