Hi
I need to get a "Freebie" Eval copy of MQSeries to enable me to play with it and get some understanding of it before i start trying to write some code for our product to interact with it but IBM / UK say that i have to buy a full on version ... (Not being very helpfull at all)
Any other avenues i can look down ?

When MQ5.3 was in Beta, a beta copy was available, but that is no longer the case now that it has been GA'd. In terms of not being helpful, that is IBM's purpose in life, selling software for a price, right? 
Unfortunately you don't have many options here. I think you'll find the prices for the MQ base product (especially for non-mainframe platforms) is pretty cheap for what it gives you.

I downloaded the beta version when it was available to see if I could get it to work on XP as advertised buy IBM (it didn't work buy the way). Email me your email address, and I will send it to you (if I can find it). I'm not sure I kept it, but I'll look.

Just for the record, the announcement for MQ 5.3 indicates
that XP support is not implemented until 4th quarter 2002. |
