We have to move ( on a everyday basis, not just once in a while )
files in the 3 GB range ( and bigger ), using MQ.
We have MQ v6, of course.
If we want to achieve maximum throughput,
what message size should we use ?
Or shall we let MQ do the split ?
( I dont see my code requesting a 3 GB buffer to Op Sys ...  )
Any pointer to other info is ewlcome !

I'd seriously consider an off-the-shelf solution like PM4DATA (or whatever it's called these days). Better than reinventing the wheel, especially for such large amounts, and dealing with network issues, speed optimisation, resend, etc, etc.

a) if coutomer wants it, I shall do it ... ( reinvent ... whatever ! )
b) any more details about PM4DATA, or Google is OK ?

Or the search button. File movement over MQ is a not-uncommon topic in here, and various solutions (including PM4DATA) have been discussed.
3Gb files will certainly require segmentation.
