Hi,
Recently i upgraded my v6 Broker on Development Solaris Box to CSD3. but i want to go back to CSD2 which i have before.
can anybody tell whats the easy way to achieve this?

Hi
Its not easy with IBM products, you have to un-install the whole product and install what ever that you need.
and you are trying to roll back from higher version to lower version.

The simplest way is re-installing the CSD02, because the broker fixpaks are cumulative. I've already tried it on AIX and it worked. |

How about rolling back using OS roll-back facility? Ofcourse this is possible only if you had saved copy of the old files and not yet comitted the updates. |

I work on AIX and when you use SMIT to update/patch any software, it gives options to:
- back-up the existing filesets
- NOT to commit the updates/changes
This leaves an option to roll-back to the older version using the SMIT again. |

The main problem was the InstallShield tool, because it simply committed the fixpak at the end of installation . Otherwise, there was a special uninstaller process, but it didn't worked for me. |
