You need to add your user to the configmgr's access control list. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

so to clarify, you have added your domain id to the following broker groups.
mqm
mqbrasgn
mqbrdevt
mqbrkrs
mqbrops
mqbrtpic
?
Also what are you getting in your application event viewer errors? _________________ Integration Design/Developer

Thse groups do not exist with WMB v6.
These groups were deprecated for WBIMB v5. They functioned, but should have been migrated away from.
sriram.e - what do you see in the "details" when you get the BIP0889E window.
What command did you issue to add your user to the config mgr's access control list? Did you give your user the correct permissions? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

if you grant your ID or group FULL to Root and FULL to Topic, you will be the king. Don't do that in production.
I take it from your comments, the CM is on a Windows Server?
This will give you the advantage to grant to a local group that has the domain users or groups in it. (Well, I think groups...) _________________ Joseph

I didn't realise that the groups didn't exist in WMB v6. Thanks for letting me know about that.
sriram.e - We don't know which version of the broker you have installed...vs5 or vs6? Also, where is your configuration manager installed?

Well, you never really troubleshot the problem. You didn't provide details of what the error message said.
So we can't really tell you why it didn't work either. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

BIP0889E-An Exception occured while communicating with config manager on WMQM
Reason-Websphere studio experiencing problem while communicating with config manager on WMQM
Ensure the config manager available:
if so do the following
1) select window->Preference menu
2) select broker administration->config manager proxy preferences
3)Increase the maximum retry attempts
4)Apply the changes
5)retry the operations
This was the error message thrown....[/img] |
