Hi,
I would like to move all the expired messages into the Dead Letter Queue.
Can we do this one by Qmanager Configuration, so that it will automatically moves the expired message into the dead letter queue?
or
Do i need to write a logic which moves the expired messages into the dead letter Queue?
Thanks,

Nobody can get a message once it's expired.
You can configure Report options on the message to include Full Data, and then set a ReplyToQueue.
But you should avoid using the Dead Letter Queue as an application dumping ground, and have an application specific queue for your report messages and your backout messages. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Do you mean that there is a can be a automatic set up which moves the expired message to a specified queue?
If yes, how can we do this?
Also for the whole application, we have planned to wirte all the unread message and other message related into Dead Letter Queue.
Thanks,

You already got an answer:

What do you mean by "unread" messages? Why are they "unread"? and what do you mean by "other message related"?
Two things in general:
A. Please clarify your questions. Describe the work process, give examples etc.
B. It is evident from your questions that you need more WMQ training than what you currently possess. We cannot help you if you do not know the basics, and if you follow our suggestions with your current knowledge level, you're bound to mess somthing up. Read the manuals, it's all in there. |
