For some reason channel goes into inactive or stopped state, queue is full and it is full until I manually start channel.

Okay, so:
a) Which queue is (or becomes full)?
b) Why does the log say the channel stopped?
c) What's preventing the channel's auto restart (again with the log)? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

I'm troubleshooting the problem but meanwhile I want that MQ channel is running and no messages are waiting in queues.
And my idea was to use ITM to do that.
Can anyone give me an example of windows batch file that will start channel |

I already gave you an example, using runmqsc.
Just change the disconnect interval of the channel to ensure that it never disconnects.
Then set an alert for channel state <> RUNNING.
Then you can immediately look at logs and such if it stops.
Also, remember that you might need to look at BOTH ends of the channel. If someone forces a channel to stop on the reciever side, then the sender side will also not be RUNNING. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Isn't that a little like driving with the 'Low fuel' light on? Ignoring the issue is not likely to get you very far.
As Vitor asks.....
Which queue is full? The transmission queue or the queue at the other end?
If it is the target queue, then you are fixing the wrong issue. The channel will always die. |

Transmission queue is full.
I've made batch file and it's working with ITM.
Now in peace I can investigate what is happening
Thanks |

You can alter the transmission queue to switch on the trigger. Specify InitQ as SYSTEM.CHANNEL.INITQ in the transmission queue. TRiggerType as first.
Now whenever a message reaches the transmission queue the channel will run and the message will flow to the remote queue manager.
The channel will go to inactive state after the disconnect interval. So message will not be stuck up in the transmission queue, and you won't have to start the channel manually. _________________ WMQ and WMQI specialist
