Hello,
I have come up against a strange problem concerning performance events on Solaris. I'm using MQ V5.1 and run a simple program that periodically sends an MQCMD_RESET_Q_STATS command to a local queue manager and prints queue lenghts and put/get rates.
When I monitor a queue this way, and run another application that puts messages on this queue, I get the statistics right. However, if at the same time yet another application gets messages from this queue, I get nothing but zeros - that is queue length is always zero, number of PUTs is zero and number of GETs is zero (though time since last reset is as it should be).
Since this works on HP-UX with MQ V5.2 and I don't get zeros there, I suspect it is a bug in V5.1 on Solaris, but I was unable to find any official information confirming that.
If anyone has observed similar behaviour on Solaris, please let me know.
