Hi,
I have a requirement to transfer files between 2 Queue Managers.
What are the possible solutions for this requirement esp using WMQ V 6.0
I know that for Message transfer, we do the settting up of Sender/Reciever channels, Local/Remote & Transmission Queues. However not sure of the same for FILE TRANSFER.
Pointers are appreciated.
Thanks in advance. _________________ Thanks,

A file is a stream of bytes on a disk.
A message is a stream of bytes on a queue.
File Transfer in the enterprise is a complicated problem. There are a lot of non-functional requirements, like security and auditing and tracking and etc.
There is a pre-supplied tool with MQ V6 that will stream a file over MQ and reconstruct it as a file on the other side.
This tool, in my opinion, is not safe for use in the enterprise or for production.
And, finally,
Many, many many many many people have asked THIS SAME QUESTION.
Please SEARCH and find and read ALL the other discussions on FILE TRANSFER OVER MQ.
