Hi
I have a plugin node coded in C & running on a broker in Solaris. I need to do some event logging thru this.
I have generated the Message catalogue and installed it in the directories specified in the MQSI documentation.. the docs also mention that the messages would be written to the SYSLOG when CciLog or ccithrowexception is used with the right message catalogue & message id as parameters.
The node seems to run fine but I dont see the messages being logged in /var/adm/messages. am'I looking at the right file ? Is there anything else I need to do ?
(Just to check this out I followed the process mentioned for windows & here I see the messages being logged in the event viewer)
Do messages get written to your syslog when you stop/start a broker?
Is your syslog daemon setup right?
I'm not sure of Solaris but on AIX the configuration file is /etc/syslog.conf
If you need to make changes, make sure you restart the syslogd.
