hi,
i am working on Message broker 6.0 with MQ 6.0.
i am working on Jtext Adapter with FTP , i dont want to use File extended nodes.
when i want to poll the file from the ftp, where i have given the ftp address in the ftpEventdir with the directory path where the file is located ,and the ftpusername along with the ftppassword in the MO_JText_Connector .when the connector is up....
i am getting a error as the ftp local event dir folder doesnot exist.
if i give the same ftp address in both Eventdir and in the ftpEventdir
"warning ftp://123.1.1.1/Temp/Event configured for ftp local event directory does not exist.
(This is the ftp address and folder path where the actual file is located ) |

FTPLocalEventDir should be a valid directory on the local machine where the connector is running.
EventDir should have the directory name on the FTP server from where the connector should poll.

FTP directory will usually be of the form ftp:\\<IP Address>\<User ID>\Temp\Event
Please check if you are specifying the same correctly.

I would expect an FTP URL to be "ftp:\\user:password@ipaddress\folder\folder\file". _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

OutputDir attribute can be an absolute path having User ID, Password, Director Path and File Name.
But User ID, Password and File name can also be separately specified in the meta object attributes FTPUserId, FTPPassword, OutFileName and OutFileExt. In this case, OutputDir need be of the form
ftp:\\<IP Address>\Folder

hi ,
Thanks for the quick response!!!!
i have tried with the ftp syntax you have mentioned but still i am having the same problem. here the connector is getting up with out any errors or warnings.
but the file is not picking up from the specified "ftp event dir" .
i got a question to ask regarding...
where we have to specify the "ftp syntax" is it in the "Eventdir" or in the "FtpEventDir" in MO_JText_Connector. but i have tried keeping the path in both areas but still i am having the problem. |
