I have forwarded a proposal to our architecture group to use MQIPT to set up a single portal by which all B2B traffic is passed to our internal MQ network.
I have heard that the proposal was dismissed because "MQIPT is not a proven technology".
I do not know how to build a poll using the MQSeries.net "Add a Poll" process that would capture the data I desire. Therefore I am asking for responses to this Post with the following information.
If you use MQIPT in production:
1) Please describe how you use it.
2) Please indicate the industry in which you use it.
3) Please approximate the market cap of your company (or other indicator of size).
4) Optionally- what company are you talking about (I know this will be popular, that is why it is optional)
I assume that if I get enough responses from companies >= the size of our company in our industry, I can allay any managerial fears.
Please respond.

Ask them for their alternative, tell them THAT is not proven. What it is their definition of a proven technology?
We're a Fortune 100 company using MQIPT to hide our QM's IP and Port #. Our QM is inside the firewall, the MQIPT server is inside the DMZ. MQIPT wraps the conection in SSL, so we have a secure connection without having to install SSL certs on our internal QM or channel. Our partner company has the same setup on their side. _________________ Peter Potkay
