Sorry...pls bear with me....
Since this needs to be completed as early as possible..I am bugging u all continously...

When I tried by creating XMITQ with the same name as REMOTEQMGR QM3,and i issue an open call from QM4,

Application excutes fine. But messages were not in TranmissonQ or dead letter queue.

If I create RQMNAME as QM3 the messages were not in any Q.

DEFINE QREMOTE(CLUSQ1) RNAME(CLUSQ1) RQMNAME(QM3) XMITQ(QM3)

If I create RQMNAME as QM1 the messages were routed to QM1

DEFINE QREMOTE(CLUSQ1) RNAME(CLUSQ1) RQMNAME(QM1) XMITQ(QM3)

If I create RQMNAME as QM2 the messages were routed to QM2

DEFINE QREMOTE(CLUSQ1) RNAME(CLUSQ1) RQMNAME(QM2) XMITQ(QM3)

But actually i want to achieve loadbalancing.

It might be worth speaking to whoever sets your deadlines, that in future they might allow a little extra time for research. This board is a self help group, not a cheap form of consultancy!

The key issue, as I said a few posts back, are these missing messages. MQ messages, especially persistent ones, don't just disappear. They go somewhere, even if it's not the place you think. I've set up exactly what you claim to (3 qmgrs in a cluster, one acting as gatekeeper, 4th transmitting to gatekeeper over point to point) and I get the messages load balanced in a round robin fashion (I'm using 5.3). Find the messages (or the reason code from the put) and you'll find the problem.

You'll also find this exact scenario described in the Clusters manual under "Using queue manager clusters / Using clusters for workload management".

Exposing you to the risk you'll get the same answers...
