Can someone please help me with the following error. I have no idea what it means and can't seem to find anything on the web. We have a weekly backup process whereby IBM MQServices is shutdown after an application that connects to it (Data Integrator). A robocopy is performed and the IBM MQServices is started again.

In this case it failed. No FDC was generated and the only thing I can find in the log is the following :

AMQ7880: Error code 71 starting MQPWST0453/Queue Manager WebSphere MQ service.

EXPLANATION:
The service was unable to start MQPWST0453/Queue Manager. The error message
reported was as follows: The Queue Manager ended for reason 545284145 ''
ACTION:
Use WebSphere MQ Services to investigate why the service could not begin. If
recovery for this service is active, MQ will attempt to recover.

Are you sure there's no FDC's written?
Did you reboot windows?
Is this a current service level?

Searching for windows error 71 yeilds:
http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;EN-US;122920

but I'm not sure it's relevant..... time to open a PMR with IBM service.

Run dcomcnfg.exe and note which account MQ is running under. Make sure it is not running under 'interactive user'.

Make sure the account is a member of the MQM group and is not locked out.

This error can occur if the wrong acount is specified.

Also it maybe due to the Application using MQSeries not shutting down.
