Hi,
In our test environment(MQSI 2.1,CSD 8 ), when I try to rename just any Msg flow,I'm getting BIP0404E error, which means resource could not be found in local repository.
Infact when I deploy an Exec Group, every thing works fine. Even the connection to message repository DB and configuration manager DB is established properly. One other thing is even though the message flow is assigned to a different Exec Group, in the error msg, the resource name is the same Exec group all the time.
I could hardly find any details when searched for BIP0404E error. Could some one guide me please?
Thank you.

I have actually restarted DB2 a couple of times, but still the same error. I have also started all the DB2 services. Connections are well established(used list applications global command and made sure)
But still no idea whta is causing the problem.Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.

What exact steps are you following to "rename" a message flow?

What does this have to do with what Execution group it is deployed to, or not deployed to?

First I made sure every thing is checked in so that the resources are saved.
Then I checked out the msg flow to rename it. Once I check out and click rename, this error is popping up. I'm just surprised becuase this is the case with all the message flows, not just a few.

I don't remember being able to rename a flow in 2.1.

If it's possible, it might have to be done when it is checked IN, not checked OUT.

But I remember something about having to copy a flow in order to rename it.

And if you think that's really a bad thing, then you should just go ahead and upgrade to MBv6, where things work and are supported.

No, In control center, you cannot rename if it's checked in. It should be checked out to rename it.
But I tried to rename a test msg flow on my local system and it worked fine, but something is wrong with the Test system, which I have to figure out.
Kindly give your ideas so that I can try to rectify this problem.
Jeff we are planning to migrate from 2.1 to 6, but it may take some more time. Until then we have to stick to 2.1 itself:(

Is it possible that there might be an access issue ?

I don't think so because the user id that is being used has full admin rights, full rights on DB2, and is included in all the mq/broker groups.

JT,
I am using V2.1 and I don't have to copy a flow in order to rename it.

Nor do I.

V2.1 CSD8?? I accept it's lipstick on a crone, but have you considered CSD9? It might help; I don't know what shalabh1976 is using but I have that & it works.

Well the renaming does. I'd hate to give the impression that 2.1 is anything other than a ghastly pain.

(v6, v6, wherefore art thou v6?)

I have CSD 8.

mrlazy,
Do you have a backup of the flow.
Then delete the flow from the workspace and import it again from the backup.
Try now ?

Hi.

I am wondering if a solution has ever been found for this? I am facing the same issue now.
