Hello!
There are still problems with corrupted chars, we are now pretty sure that we need to reconfigure our Queue Manager in the MQ to use another codeset, as by now is using 437. The questions is how to set it to some other codeset?, is there a way to reset an already existing QM to a different codeset ?
The name of the parameter is to change would be:
"Coded character set ID" and is set to 437, needed to be set to iso-8859-1 or as specified on my system : NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8MSWIN1252
Best regards
/Fred

depends on the plattform.

on windows and unix you can use runmqsc and
"alter qmgr ccsid()"

then recycle the qmgr

Fred,

I think so you needn't. For example all of our qmgrs runs on ASCII or Latin-1 codeset, but the messages are Latin-2 or UTF-8.

Hello!
Thanks for all help, but we solved it by using BytesMessage instead.

We do not know why TextMessage or ObjectMessage result in corrupted chars.

Best regards
Fredrik
