Hi there. Just looking or a little guidance really. (on WMQ 6.0.1- platform XP). I have searched the boards and looked throught the manuals ... so please be nice.

I am removing a partial repository queue manager from a cluster as follows.

Suspend the qmgr from the cluster.
Remove CLUSRCVR from cluster.
Stop CLUSRCVR channel
Stop CLUSSDR channel
Delete both CLUSRCVR & CLUSSDR.

This all goes smoothly. However when I go back to my remaining full repository qmgrs I still see the removed qmgrs cluster queues listed (i.e. when I dis qc(*).

To get around this I'm issuing a reset to forceremove the old cluster member with queues set to yes. Which sorts me out.

However - I'm a little worried that I have to issue a reset... am I just worrying over nothing or am I using a flawed process?

Many Thanks

Jamie

Personally, I would remove the objects (Queues) before any Channels. That way, the information is sent out to the full repositories, to "clean up".

Cheers,

Well of course I should! Thanks Eddie, that'll sort me out.

Much appreciated
