Is it possible to find out which clients are accessing a particular Queue Manager / Queues ? If so, how?

Thanks,

Yes. Research the MQSC commands related to Queue Usage and Channel Status.

Is it also possible to determine external clients (for ex: a java program)?

The mqsc commands dont seem to specify how to identify such external clients.

Any information is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

I don't think so. You cannot get that information.

NO
For applications using SVRCONN channels it shows the PID of the channel.
I tried even with V6 but still the same.

Sure but isn't the user name provided as well as the pid's channel.
Could there be some distinction via the appname or username ?

but you can get the source IP address and the channel name acccessing the queue. That is somethimes enough to get started in problem resolution....

From Queue Usage Type Handle you can get the source IP and channel name.
