My requirement is like this.

My program P is calling various programs P1, P2, P3.... most of the programs are using IMS. On a particular ims return i need to perform a specific action.

I was just wondering if there could be a method by which i can retrieve the IMS return from the abend dump. So that i dont have to change my down stream programs. The down stream programs are anyhow abending currently on not normal return from IMS. I can have a HANDLE ABEND in my program P which can retrieve the ims return code and then do the processing.
