Given:
-MQ 5.3.12
-We have a cluster
-QMgr A was a full repos
-QMgr A is no longer in existence
-SYSTEM.CLUSTER.XMIT.QUEUE has 100 msgs in it for QMgr A
-dis clusqmgr(*) on new repos shows QMgrA
-Since QMgrA is non-existent, I cannot follow "Remove a QM from Cluster" task in Clustering manual.
Is there a way to remove QMgrA from cluster if there is no longer a QMgrA?
Will this prob be resolved by removing explicit cluster sender that is currently in "STOPPED" state?
It won't be resolved by removing the explicit cluster sender.
You should remove the explicit cluster sender anyway.
You can delete the cluster and recreate it.
You can wait 90 days.
You can search through other messages here about dealing with clusters that have nonexistent qmgrs in them. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.
POSSIBLE USES
The supplied utilities can be used to:
- capture the state of a cluster and report it
- clean up unwanted references to objects within a cluster
- handle unwanted messages on the SYSTEM.CLUSTER.TRANSMIT.QUEUE
