yes. The word 'broker' is not even in that file.

OK, by running that MQSC script, you have most of the correct definitions. The others are created automatically when you start the broker: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wmqv6/v6r0/topic/com.ibm.mq.amqnar.doc/amqnar1071.htm

I've got mq 5.3 and there are no executables for starting/stopping the brokers. Perhaps it comes with 6.0.

What CSD do you have installed?

You would need MQMDIR\bin\strmqbrk.exe and other executables too.

Before CSD08, the broker executables were in a separate category 3 SupportPac, called MA0C - this would have to be installed after installing MQ. However, at CSD08 and afterwards, the broker executables are included in the CSD.

For MQ v6, the broker executables are included.
