How do you get a server and a client on different domains to communicate with each other? I am using windows 2000 and MQSeries 5.2.1. Any ideas?

Well Iam sure there are probably a couple of ways

1) setup the same userid on both machines including the password.
and give them access to the queues
2) Setup up a trust between the 2 domains.

Hi. How would I setup the common thread of trust across the domains to get the client and server to start communicating? When the client and server was on the same domain, I setup the domain mqm on the domain controller. But when two different domains are involved, how can I establish this trust between the client and server?

thanks.

That Iam not sure of, I just know we have several domains and they have a trust setup between them.

You could try add the client domain\userid into the mqm group on the mq server box to if that is enough, and if that works I would come up with another group that controls the access to the queues for that application
