MY Setup: AIX 4.3.3/ MQSI 2.1/MQ 5.2
First I created mqsi broker using mqm user, because of which I started facing problem while deploying by flows.
mqsicreatebroker DQAT001.BROKER -i mqm -a password -q DQAT001 -n mqsibkdb -u user -p password
So I decided to change the serviceId of the broker using
mqsichangebroker -a ServicePassword -i mqsiuid
This command is throwing me an error
BIP8136E: Unable to change the ownership of files: operating system return code 1.
An error occurred changing the ownership of files in response to a command. This may be because the user does not have the required
authorization.
Check that the user has the required authority to create files and retry.
I tried by deleting the broker and recreating it using
mqsicreatebroker DQAT001.BROKER -i mqsiuid -a password -q DQAT001 -n mqsibkdb -u user -p password
Still no luck..Same error
I was logged in as mqm user while I was executing mqsicreatebroker. I checked mqsiuid belongs to both mqm and mqbrkrs groups.
Does any one have any idea what I have to do to fix this problem?

Uday,
Is your ID (mqm) a part of mqbrkrs group also? You should use the same id (mqm) or root uer to run mqsichangebroker command first. Once you successfully change service user-id for your broker you can start using mqsiuid user to run mqsi*broker commands. _________________ Kiran

I used userid (mqm) to execute mqsichangebroker and I got the message I had mentioned in my first post.
But I never tried mqsichangebroker as root. After your suggestion I tried it as root and now i able to change and run broker as mqsiuid. And it look obvious as only root can do chown.
