Thanks for quick answer ! The reason for my question was that I've had some problems with lost transactions during shutdown and also a problem with triggermessages on the dead-letter queue during shutdown. With a more controlled shutdown I think a could avoid these problems. Ie. stop the MQ-interface at first stage of shutdown, telling MQ not to send more transaction. Is there another way of doing this ? |

check chapter 4 in system administration guide, you can control the adapter by program, e.g.
EXEC CICS LINK PROGRAM(’CSQCSSQ ’)
INPUTMSG(’CKQC STOPCKTI CICS01.INITIATION.QUEUE2’) _________________ Regards, Butcher |

Another thing you can do is to stop triggering just before you shut cics down. Just remember to start trig when cics is restarted... _________________ WebSphere Application Server 7.0 z/OS &

You don't need to stop triggering. Just stop the trigger monitors by get disabling the init queues. Once the trigger monitors are stopped, get enable the init queues and proceed with shutdown.

before stopping a cics, the system automation can issue the STOPCKTI command via Trans CKQC STOPCKTI
or have a look on this link
EXEC CICS LINK PROGRAM('CSQCSSQ ')
INPUTMSG('CKQC STOPCKTI ') |
