I want to set a (sub)process activity to expire after 72 hours. Do I check for _STATE()=_Expired for a process activity, the same as I do for a program activity? If so, where do I check this condition (my sub process has multiple program activities)? Since there is no mapping of data when something expires, how do I get updates to data that were made within my sub process?

Any help would be appreciated!

I do not think it is possible to expire a Process Activity. So unless I am misunderstanding your question, you are probably out of luck, unless you resort to some trickery. If you want to pursue this let me know exactly what it is you are trying to do, and I will let you know if I think there is a way to do this.

According to the documentation you should be able to expire a process activity, but it is not working as I hoped.

I have two UPES steps in a process that is supposed to be allowed to run for 72 hours. If they are not completed in those 72 hours, I am supposed to have the work item move on, with a return code that will place the work item in a review status.

Immediately after the process above, I have another UPES process that must complete in 12 hours, or it needs to be flagged with a review status.

Any thoughts on getting the system to expire these processes similar to an activity?

I do not see any expiration time for a Process activity in Buildtime. Which tab is it on?

One thing you could do, but this is going to take some coding, is to have a parallel activity in the subprocess that simply expires at the desired time. This activity would then flow to a second activity that would need to Force finish your "Real" activities. I believe this would accomplish what you are looking for.
