Hi Gurus,

Iam trying to access the mqseries v5.2 NTversion QueueManager by setting up MQEnvironment variables like hostname, port , userid password etc.

However when I try to setup hostname property I get below listed error. If I dont populate the hostname property then it picks up the default QueueManager.

MQJE016: MQ queue manager closed channel immediately during connect
Closure reason = 2009
MQJE001: Completion Code 2, Reason 2009
com.ibm.mq.MQException: MQJE001: Completion Code 2, Reason 2009

Iam just curious , coz it might work for my local machine but i would really like to access the other MQSeries's queues for my application.

Any pointer would be appreciated .

Thanks
Senthil

Are you trying to access OS390 or are you just trying to connect to NT Queue manager.

Senthil,
if you do a search on this forum using 'MQJE016' as the keyword, you will get quite a bit of discussion on this error.
It is very likely, that something in your setup is not correct.
Things to check include:
1/ you have all the MQ object names correct (they are case sensitive!)
2/ the listener (runmqlsr) is running on the queue manager box
3/ the port number in your client code matches the number specified for the listener
4/ your channel has the correct type (SRVCONN)

If it still doesn't work after you have checked (and probably corrected) these things, please post your server-side definitions (channel names, listener setup, etc.) and a code snippet of the MQEnvironment settings.
Hope this helps,
Stefan
