Hi Fellow MQrs:

To determine MQ Version and Current CSD Level:

In Sun Solaris and HP-UX this info is in a file called:
/opt/mqm/READMES/en_US/memo.ptf

In NT Platform, this info is in a file called:
C:\\WIN32APP\MQSeries\UK_5\memo.ptf

Can someone post how to determine this info for:
IBM OS/390
UNISYS OS2200
Open VMS
AIX <--- I think same as above, but I can't test it.

Thanks in advance.

On OS/390 :
At startup a message is written to the xxxxMSTR log.
CSQY000I + IBM MQSeries for MVS/ESA - V1.2.

For more detailed info on PTF level, you'd have to check SMPE.

Cheers, Jan.

Thanks for the info. I see in the log file:
07.56.17 STC07062 CSQY000I +UM01 IBM MQSeries for OS/390 - V5.2

But, it doesn't spell out for me if any patches have been applied. I'll keep looking.

I'm sorry to tell you, but the only place you can see which ptf level you are is SMP/E.

This is because the administrator decides which PTF to put and which not to.. Oposite the distributed world where the ptf's are grouped in a CSD.

my 2 cents.

undocumented command:

mqver works on a number of OS.

e.g. on AIX:

$ mqver
MQSeries Version: 520
CMVC level: p520-aux-CSD02G
BuildType: IKAP - (Production)
