I am using WebSphere MQ Administrator for monitoring the queues and there is a column available for display called "put time" and when I show this, it displays an 8 character number, but it doesn't make any sense to me how to interpret what format it's in. As an example, there was a message put on the queue this morning sometime around 6:55 am, yet the put time column shows 03420061. Am I missing something? Is this not what I think it is? The put date column actually shows the date in a yyyymmdd format, so I figured the put time would show the time it was put there.... Help me understand, please. Thanks. |

OK, then the format is The format used for the time when this field is generated by the queue manager is:
HHMMSSTH
where the characters represent (in order):
HH
hours (00 through 23)
MM
minutes (00 through 59)
SS
seconds (00 through 59)
T
tenths of a second (0 through 9)
H
hundredths of a second (0 through 9)
That makes sense with the fact that we are GMT -6 because that would mean that would have happened at 9:44 pm (last night) and the logs clearly indicate that time. Now that I have the answer to that question, I guess I'm going to have to create another post as this now means we have another problem which I don't have the answer to. I will entitle that on "Queues not showing messages" for reference. |
