I am unable to generate the 3D charts. Can somebody point me to a site with directions for how to work with the QFLEX charting features? Thanks.

Also, is there a way to automatically disable a monitor while maintenance is going on and then automatically bring it up?

I did not see anything in the GUI, but I was thinking it might be possible through a database script.

Well, I think I figured it out. For some reason, an X-server is required.

The last 2 version of Qflex support cron-like scheduling of the monitors.

Hi there,

I've just installed the stuffs on my Linux notebook, it went smoothly, but I'm stuck when accessing the "welcome" screen ... it shows me the menu on the left, but in the center I have :
Quote:
Fatal error occurred, please configure resources, restart and try again.

Any idea of the problem ?

PS: using Slackware-current, Apache Tomcat/5.5.9, qfex1021.clean.sql ...

1. make sure you have dropped the mysql.jar into common libs on tomcat
2. make sure you have spelled driver name correctly in jndi settings
3. are you able to connect to the database from a command line

Hi there,

I've checked the 3 points, and they are OK, BUT ...
Things are different now ... I've put a CRLF after the "qflex?" in the JNDI settings (instead of everything on one line), and stuffs are different. Now I have another problem :
Quote:
Unable to connect to database, please check JNDI settings.

But this is due to the fact that I forgot to put lower_case_table_names to 1 as explained in the Linux installation guide ... have to go for work, so will do it later and will keep you in touch

Hi there,

It's working fine now, things are smooth ... except for the behaviour of Tomcat; I've raised the following "problem" : when QFLEX is deployed, Tomcat never stops when requested, despite it's running under root or tomcat - I have to kill it.
I've undeployed QFLEX, and after that Tomcat stops and starts properly ... I've re-deployed QFLEX, and the same problem occurs again ... just to let you know

How did you solve that exactly? Because I can't manage to solve this.

Are you running qflex on a headless machine?

Never mind, doing an export DISPLAY to a machine solved the problem

Is netflexity still updating the Qflex product? Is the product `dead`?
There are no updates on the product since a while already.
