Hi, I am having a problem on my cleanup server. When I use fmcautil to start the cleanup server, it returns saying that the server stopped abnormally.
10/28/2005 12:06:12 AM FMC10300I Cleanup server for system group FMCGRP started in system FMCSYS.
10/28/2005 12:06:12 AM FMC12260E The cleanup server for system group FMCGRP stopped abnormally.
On the Windows log, I see:
FmcSQLException, Sqlcode=-818, Sqlerrmc=, Sqlerrp=SQLRAL
DP, Sqlerrd[0]=-2146303874, Sqlerrd[1]=0, Sqlerrd[2]=0, Sqlerrd[3]=0, Sqlerrd[4]
=0, Sqlerrd[5]=0, Sqlwarn= , Sqlstate=51003
I am running V.3.5 on Windows with MQ Series 5.3.
The cleanup server setting:
- Cleanup server settings
- Check interval PT5M
- Start mode Deferred
- Server start time Everyday at 00:00
- Server stop time 06:00
- Cleanup time P1W
- Cleanup delay time PT1H
1. Is it ok to start the server using fmcautil? (I understand that it should be scheduled running in non-peak hours, but I just want to start it to make sure the server is ok. |

You can easily start with fmcautil.... you just need to remember that the cleanup server does quite a bit of work.... so it may slow down other work that is currently running _________________ John McDonald

But do you know why it returns saying "Stopped abnormally" and continue "started and stopped"? |

The rebind and reorg work. Now I can start my cleanup server without error. Thank you karthik and jmac.
Here are the steps that I used to do the rebind and reorg.
Running database statistics and rebinding the executables to the DB2 database
To run database statistics and rebind the executables:
1. Use the MQ Workflow administration utility to stop the MQ Workflow Servers. On Windows platforms, you can use the system service commands, for example: net stop "IBM MQ Workflow 3.6 - FMC"
2. On Windows platforms, open a DB2 command window. On UNIX, log on with the DB2 instance administrator user ID.
3. Connect to the MQ Workflow Runtime Database. For example, if FMCDB is the name of the database, type: db2 connect to FMCDB
4. Create the database statistics: db2 reorgchk update statistics on table all
5. Disconnect from the database: db2 connect reset
6. Rebind all the applications using the generated statistics: fmczrdb -o b -y FMC
7. Restart the MQ Workflow Servers. On Windows platforms, you can use the system service commands, for example: net start "IBM MQ Workflow 3.6 - FMC" |
